I am a carpenter by trade and I think It's a super Idea to build your own beds but I have to say that It's obviously an easier task for the likes of me to be able to do this from scratch by just following a plan. I would imagine that it would be difficult for somebody with no carpentry experience to just build a bed by following a plan, the same as I couldn't build a car, for example just by following a plan.
